Back in 2019, Whiskey Hunt Australia did what few outside the US could — secure 3 Old Forester Single Barrels, handpicked from their legendary Louisville, Kentucky warehouses.

 

The first two dropped in 2020 and 2021 and both sold out within 30mins. Then, Old Forester changed their international barrel pick policies and slammed the brakes on international single barrel picks.
 

No more barrels. No exceptions.

 

Until now.

 

After a few years wait, Whiskey Hunt Australia is proud to release the 3rd and final WHA Old Forester Single Barrel —
the only Old Forester single barrel officially bottled outside the US since 2021.

 

And trust us, the wait has been worth it! We're already half way through our promotional bottle we use for photos. It won't last long.

 

Tasting Notes:
That classic Old Forester sweet banana on the nose.
Palate hits with peanut brittle, caramel, and a balanced mid-level sweetness.
Not overloaded with vanilla — instead, there’s a subtle touch of toasted oak.
The finish is that classic oak-driven with a satisfying lift of spice. Super easy drinking.

​Every fingerprint is unique. The same is true for every barrel of bourbon. Old Forester Single Barrel is bottled from one individual barrel, so there is no other bourbon exactly like it.  

   

We chose this one from a selection of 3 barrels back in October 2020 with help from a couple legends at Brown-Forman Australia.  The Old Forester Single Barrel Program only produces a limited number of barrels each year, and allocation is extremely difficult to secure, so a huge thank-you to the whole Brown-Forman team for helping make this happen!
