The WhistlePig Farm has been putting out some incredible rye whiskey for many years now.  When the folks at Iconic offered us access to a single barrel pick of the 10 year expression we jumped at the opportunity.  

​

The barrel selection started out as all covid forced remote barrel picks, 5 x samples sent across the world with no info given other than the barrel # & proof of each whiskey we had to choose from.  Usually there tends to be a bit of discussion around which sample is best, but this time it was unanimous barrel #19660 was the clear standout.  It wasn't until months later we learned we had actually picked an almost 18 year old whiskey!

With Bourbon & Rye popularity these days, its very rare to find whiskey that's been aging away patiently for almost 18 years.  We're so lucky to have found this "Head Honcho" before it turned into a "Boss Hog"!
